Saskatoon Farm

Cat in Garden

Last week a friend and I visited The Saskatoon farm near De Winton.  For those that don’t know, saskatoons are berries native to the Canadian prairies.  They are similar in appearance to a blueberry but have a different flavour and larger seeds.  The farm sells Saskatoon bushes and many other types of plants, has a restaurant, bakery, gift shop, and sells berries in season.  All this aside, they also have some interesting displays. Here are a few photos that amused me.

The spoils of the foray included some herb plants, and these delicious butter tarts with saskatoons baked into them.
