I like to make French toast on the weekends. Usually I use a loaf of French bread, but for the holidays I thought I would use some eggnog and a swirl bread we on hand to make it a little different. I never measure the milk, so the eggnog quantity is an estimate. If you think it needs to be thinner, add a bit more.
3/4 cup eggnog
a dash of salt
a dash of nutmeg
Combine well. Dip both sides of the bread in this mixture and then put the bread in a hot, buttered frying pan. Cook both sides until golden and bread is cooked through.
